Dr. Yassir A. Kori
Born from the personal experience of Dr. Yassir Kori, the founder of Flourish Mountains Hope Alliance grew from a hope-filled dream into an organization impacting thousands of lives every year. Flourish Mountains has served, resourced, and advocated for forcibly displaced people of
Nuba Mountains who are in diaspora, refugee camps with deep hope for permanent peace and safety in the region, and we will continue to partner with this community until we see this dream realized.

Brief Bio About the Founder
The Founder of Flourish Mountains Hope Alliance, Dr. Yassir Kori, holds a combination of passion and preparation that makes him a one-of-a-kind leader for this time. Facing persecution and displacement himself at a young age, Dr. Kori committed to advocating for his community from the Nuba Mountains of North Sudan.
After escaping away from war disasters, Dr. Kori was resettled to the United States in 1995 after living in Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya and has since pursued all levels of education and certifications with the sole purpose of using the skills acquired to give back to others.
When not working in Sudan, Dr. Kori spends his time serving and advocating for resettled refugees from all countries living in his hometown of Oklahoma City and enjoying time with his three children.
