BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Flourish Mountains Hope Alliance is governed by Board of Directors in whom many of them are acting as members of the Executive Board which is mainly led by indigenous populations and members of the Board of Trustees which is mainly led by supportive advisors, from both indigenous and non-indigenous population and they all define essentiality of community development need as the capacity of societies to meet basic human needs of its citizens. This can be properly attained by creating a new generation of leaders and building blocks that allow citizens and communities to enhance and sustain the quality of their lives and produce the conditions for all individuals to achiever their full potentials. We strive to come up with better way in attempt to solve devastating and complex problems affecting vulnerable communities that mainly include Sudanese marginalized populations, refugees in diaspora and internally forced displaced persons.

BOARD DUTIES
Executive Board

Executive Board composed of members that can either be appointed or elected. It is common scenario for board directors of corporations to be paid for their time, yet nonprofit board directors are nearly always volunteers. Members of the Executive Board have fiduciary duties to hold them accountable for sound governance. They are directly responsible for decision-making and oversees an organization’s financial decisions and aims to maximize profits. They always represent the best interests of the shareholders or investors and stakeholders.

Board of Trustees

Board of Trustees is a group of professional individuals and expertise in various areas who are officially appointed to advise, direct, and oversee a generous trust and primarily act to protect the organization's best interests through decisions. They are held to higher fiduciary standard with crucial obligations to operate in an advisory capacity leaving decision-making to the senior executive leadership. They always engage with donors and members of the public and advise senior leadership on financial matters. Yet, their primary role is upholding the mission and overseeing assets and safeguard the interest of investors and other stakeholders. Members of Board of Trustees may be high profiled community leaders, reputable businesspeople in the community, alumni of a university, religious leaders or other prominent leaders and dignitaries who can offer diverse perspectives.

Members of Flourish Mountains Hope Alliance are visionary thinkers who’ve demonstrated all the qualities that describe them as expertise with extraordinary capabilities, integrity, and commitment to transform our societies. They are ready to put words into action have built cornerstones of advancement for Flourish Mountains Hope Alliance.

Our organization is led by diverse global and local team members entrusted with interrelated tasks whether providing leadership development, strategic planning, financial supports, advancing organizational policies, managing global connections, each member of the team is committed to provide reciprocal support by means of connecting and take action to create sustainable change.

Board members bear the legal responsibility of ensuring that the organization complies with the applicable federal, state, and local laws and adheres to its mission. They are effective cohorts that have determined to join their hands together to bring to the table skills and capabilities that differ distinctly from those of management and other corporate leaders.

Their major roles include but not limit to setting organization's structure and strategic direction, defining its mission, vision, and values, approve and monitor the implementation of strategic plans and initiatives, evaluate the organization's performance against strategic goals and make adjustments as needed, and exercising accountability to shareholders and being responsible to relevant stakeholders. Our leadership composed of Executive Board and Board of Trustees board.
