My name is David Yohana Shair. Sudanese by nationality (Nubian) resident of south kordofan /Nuba Mountain Region of (central) Sudan. A land which was marginalized, controlled, and bombarded by Arabs groups over years onto indigenous sons and daughters of the soil. I was born in such conditions, harsh, difficult and challenging environment in years 1990s. Lived and witness civil war which caused numerous suffering, wailing, pains of children ,women and death of many innocent souls. At tender age I really missed out human basic needs (no good schools, medicine, water, clothes, food, and security) even parental care. This is because, we had to live at ran and separation. At first, I didn’t know what was all about but later through orientation and brainwash of the fact and reality of Sudan political history, brought me to the sense and understanding. No way for me, I had to accept and welcome it as part of me. As I was growing life became hell, I lack all what I suppose to explore and enjoy and live on as human created by God under the sun on the planet called Earth, A black continent Called Africa, Home called Sudan my Country. But all in Vine. I become a boy who couldn’t define and defend himself, only wondering in the bushes, in cave, on hills, mountains, valleys, rivers and streams of Nuba Mountain in hide out.
It is true that, when there is hope, there will always be way. I thank God, government and humanitarian Agencies for new home called a refugee camp in kakuma Kenya where I flew to and find myself safe and healthy, opportunities and new lifestyle. I took advantage of school, it become part of me (education) as weapon to eradicates all forms of in humanity.
Later, 2017 I travelled to South Sudan for a visit of my siblings after long separation, I found them also sheltered under UNHCR a new camp in South Sudan Yoda, I had to stay with them and support one another. That is where am write my script from.
My Christian faith, hope remains in me as the bible reminded us that Ask, seek and you will find, Knock and the door will be open for those truly believe says the lord Jesus Christ our savior. In My dreams, here comes, a lawyer, why law, for the sake of unjust, inequalities, imbalance all sort of inhumanity happening to my people, I felt raw deal certify to clings with them in order to have a ground to write a new an authentic law of human right more specially on children and women of Sudan and defend them. (If not lawyer, economist, A teacher, a doctor) that is all I wanted just to help the humanity.
Due to my poor background and financial constraints, am humbly seeking aid for scholarship in any part of African country for degree Program having successfully completed Kenya National Examination for secondary education (KCSE) with Grade of C+. They Say, vision and dreams remain in-tack into the living soul.
